Or word of the day? I don't know. XD I just felt like sharing some of my favorite words.

Floccinaucinihilipilification-to judge something as valueless

Defenestration-to throw something out of a window

...And who here, after reading these words, knows what Demyx Time is?

Some people try too hard to get new words into the dictionary no one would use @_@

I mean whats the point of these words >.> You cant use them 99% of the time, not even in an novel.

I mean...

In an act of anger, he defenestrated the keys.

Looks so weird xD Maybe not so much but I cant think of a way to use phillita.... erm... nvm.

I can understand words who looks tough difficult that has deep meanings like Cessation, bereavement.

But defenestration, throwing something out of the window? ._."

English just got weirder for me. Anyone has any justification to the practicality of these words >.>? I am looking to learn something ^^ Hopefully you dont feel offended by my wall of text.

Actually, defenestration is quite commonly used in history books. It normally refers to throwing someone out of the window, not something. Since there are many examples in history of people being murdered that way, the term was created.

And here's my word of the day. It's one of the very rare English words that originates in Japanese, but is not commonly associated with Japan at all.

The word is tycoon.

It comes from taikun, the title Japanese shoguns used for themselves in diplomatic correspondence. "Tai" in taikun means "big" or "great", and "kun" is actually very familiar to any reader of manga as a name suffix, usually for boys. One of its now obsolete meanings is "monarch, ruler, sovereign".

LOL the irony of this term.

Is that really the term for it?
Hippopotomonstrosesquipedaliophobia? They actually give a long word to diagnose a patient for the phobia of long words xD

Of course, if you do throw someone out of a window, you can say, "you just got definisized, bi-atch!"

Demyx Time is an almost-not-quite parody of Kingdom Hearts. XD http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lP5idhAKtO0

Here's another one: Alektorophobia-the fear of chickens.

I'm assuming it's all real: The lengthy word and the meaning behind it.

Pneumonoultramicroscopicsilicovolcanoconiosis

It's to do with a lung disease i do believe.

I've heard of this word a few years back and heard it again recently (in my English class.) It's real.

I can only think of bombilation and Variant Creutzfeldt-Jakob. I learned about bombilation in science class (buzzing sounds) and VCJ from googling my name. I got sad when I found out it wasn't so special because it was nicknamed "Mad Cow Disease". Sad
